BOY RAISES MONEY FOR ABUSED DOG WITH LEMONADE STAND - “…tears overcame he and his mother when meeting the dog for the first time.”

A 12-year-old boy named Caide was so moved by the story of a neglected dog named Hercules  that he started a lemonade stand to raise money for Hercules’ medical treatment.    Hercules, an American Bulldog, was found severely emaciated and neglected in a basement in New Jersey.  Caide ended up raising over $3700 for surgery and other treatment for Hercules with the help of others in the community. Here’s the story from nj.com:

When Hercules, a 3-year-old American Bull Dog, was found locked in a small crate in the basement of a Wenonah home, he barely had enough muscle tone to walk…Extremely malnourished, covered in his own feces and urine and full of fleas, the image of a dog in such dire need of care was too much to bear for 12-year-old Caide Wileczek.

Now, a lemonade stand and over $3,700 later, Wileczek got his first chance to meet his newly rescued companion on Saturday at the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital.

With friends and family present, Wileczek was greeted by the newly revitalized Hercules as tears overcame he and his mother when meeting the dog for the first time.

With the help of his classmates and his family, Wileczek went on to raise $3,748.33 to put towards Hercules’s medical care

As you can tell from the picture, Hercules is doing much better.  It’s amazing what one boy managed to accomplish for this dog.  Caide and Hercules are truly an inspiration to us all. Update: 11 year old trans girl lost appeal

The above article is an update.  Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost.  She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender.  She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.

Please, if you haven’t signed the petition, sign it, reblog it, ask your friends to sign it. We’ve managed to get 40K signatures for a pageant model, we’ve only gotten 11K for a little girl about to have her life ruined.  Lets get on the ball and spread the word.
